To tackle the dire consequences of child marriage on Ethiopian women in the UK

Why you should support 'The Campaign Against Child Marriage in Ethiopia/Former Child Wives Foundation UK'

Unable to speak, read or write in English because they had been married when they were children as you young as ten years; thousands of Ethiopian women in London and across the UK are trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty, benefit dependency, abusive relationships and ill-health. In summary, they are suffering in silence because they lack the confidence and the English words to express their concerns and support needs.

Please, support us to empower these innocent women with the advice, information and practical support, which they need in order to access statutory and voluntary support services to which they are entitled. Our objective is not only to break the vicious cycle of social and economic problems that blight these women's lives, but also to make them active and self-supporting members of mainstream British society. Without this, their children are also likely to suffer to same fate as their mothers; thus multiplying today cost to society.

Please donate anything you can today to our campaign, anything from £1 - £1,000 would be appreciated .
