Why you should support Claire Wright
Claire Wright, your Independent candidate for Devon East in the General Election on 8 June, needs YOUR help to get elected.
Unlike some major political parties, Claire doesn’t have big business financing her campaign - she must fund it herself.
But running in a parliamentary election doesn’t come cheap!
There are tens of thousands leaflets to order, publicity materials to pay for - and the deposit to enable Claire to stand is £500 alone!
Claire will not take money from big business because if she is elected she will put local people first. As an Independent, she is free to speak and free to act.
Claire achieved 24 per cent of the vote in the parliamentary election in 2015, with over 13,000 votes and securing second place against the Conservative candidate. She gained significantly more votes than the Liberal Democrats and the Labour Party combined.
A hard working and effective local councillor, on 4 May 2017 Claire was re-elected to Devon County Council maintaining her position with 3,638 votes - the most votes in Devon and the biggest share at 75 per cent.
Please donate and help Claire Wright to become the first Independent EVER to win the Devon East Constituency!
